How to use Image Converter

Convert an image from one format to another (JPG, PNG, WebP). No upload, no server.

  1. Open Image Converter on toolpermarket and fill in the inputs the tool asks for.

  2. In the Image file field, choose the source image to convert. Any browser-readable format works as the input.

  3. In the Target format field, pick PNG, JPG, or WebP for the output. PNG keeps transparency; JPG/WebP are smaller for photos.

  4. Press Convert to compute the result. The output appears immediately below the form. Adjust the inputs and recalculate as many times as you need.

  5. Read the result and use it as needed. If the number looks off, re-check your inputs and run it again — the math is deterministic, so the same entries always return the same answer.

Worked example. Load a PNG logo and choose JPG to get a compact .jpg, or choose WebP for the smallest web-friendly file.

Tips for accurate results.

  • Use PNG when the image has transparency you must keep.

  • JPG is best for photos; it drops transparency and is smaller.

  • WebP gives the smallest output for most photo content.

When to use Image Converter. Changing a file to the format a platform accepts. Making a photo web-ready as WebP. Turning a screenshot into a flat PNG.

When you actually reach for this

  • You have one format and a destination that wants another (PNG, JPG, WebP, etc.).
  • You want to change format without installing an app.

Where this tool stops being accurate

  • Converting to a lossy format (JPEG) throws away detail you cannot get back; lossless-to-lossless keeps it.
  • A vector source (SVG) must be rasterized at a pixel size you choose; there is no single "correct" size.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting change the picture?

The pixels are redrawn as faithfully as the target format allows. Switching to JPG or WebP applies light compression, while PNG keeps the image lossless — transparency is kept only by PNG and WebP.

Is the file uploaded during conversion?

No. The source is read, painted to a canvas, and exported in the new format locally; nothing leaves your device.

Which format should I pick?

Pick PNG to preserve transparency and crisp edges, JPG for smaller photo files, and WebP when you want the smallest result and the recipient can open it.

Does converting change quality?

Only when the target is lossy. Going PNG to PNG (or any lossless-to-lossless) is pixel-identical; going to JPEG or heavy WebP trades quality for size.
