vCard QR Code Generator
Encode a contact card into a QR code.
Your vCard QR code appears below.
How to use vCard QR Code Generator
Generate a QR code containing a vCard with name, phone, email and more. Scan to save a contact instantly.
Open vCard QR Code Generator on toolpermarket and fill in the inputs the tool asks for.
In the Full name field, the contact name to store. Used for both the N and FN fields so the card imports cleanly.
In the Phone field, a phone number to include. Include the country code (e.g. +1) so international scans work.
In the Email field, an email address to include. Leave blank if you only want name and phone on the card.
In the Organization field, company or team name (optional). Optional — the card still imports without it.
In the Website field, a URL to include (optional). A full https:// link works best when scanned.
Press Generate to compute the result. The output appears immediately below the form. Adjust the inputs and recalculate as many times as you need.
Read the result and use it as needed. If the number looks off, re-check your inputs and run it again — the math is deterministic, so the same entries always return the same answer.
Worked example. Name "Jane Doe", phone "+1 202 555 0143", email "[email protected]", org "Acme", url "https://example.com" yields a vCard a phone saves as a contact in one tap.
Tips for accurate results.
Add at least a name and one of phone/email so the scanned result is a usable contact.
The vCard follows version 3.0, which every modern phone recognises.
Keep the URL absolute (https://...) so it opens directly after import.
When to use vCard QR Code Generator. Putting a scannable contact on a business card or email signature. Sharing your details at a conference without typing them out. Letting a phone save your info from a poster or slide.
When you actually reach for this
- Reach for this when you want someone to save your contact details by scanning, not by typing them in.
- Use it on a business card, email signature, or conference badge so phones import a vCard directly.
Where this tool stops being accurate
- vCard fields are fixed (name, phone, email, org); freeform notes may be dropped by the scanner’s contact app.
- The more fields you add, the denser the matrix, so keep it to the essentials or raise error correction.
Frequently asked questions
What does the QR code contain?
A standard vCard (version 3.0) with the name, phone, email, organization and URL you entered. Nothing else is added, and the data is built locally.
Can the scanned card be saved to contacts?
Yes. Phones recognise the vCard format and offer to add it as a contact, pre-filled with the fields you provided.
Is my contact info uploaded?
No. The vCard string is assembled on your device and encoded into the image; it is never sent to a server or stored.
Why did my phone save the contact but miss the photo?
Many scanners ignore the vCard photo field to keep the code small. Drop the image or host it as a URL the contact can open manually.
Can I update the vCard after printing the QR?
No — the data is baked into the code. If details change, regenerate and reprint, or encode a URL that serves the vCard so you can edit it server-side.
