Crop Image
Cut a rectangle out of any image.
Drag the selection on the preview, or type exact pixel values.
Choose an image to begin. Nothing leaves your device.
DownloadHow to use Crop Image
Crop a JPG, PNG or WebP by dragging a selection on the preview or typing exact pixels. The cut runs locally and downloads a PNG.
Open Crop Image on toolpermarket and fill in the inputs the tool asks for.
In the Image file field, choose the JPG, PNG, or WebP you want to trim. Start with the whole image; the preview shows a draggable box.
In the X field, left edge of the crop region, in source pixels. Leave blank to center; the tool fills a default box for you.
In the Y field, top edge of the crop region, in source pixels. Y grows downward, like image coordinates.
In the Width field, width of the crop region in pixels. Drag the bottom-right handle to resize visually.
In the Height field, height of the crop region in pixels. A smaller box means a tighter, lighter crop.
Press Crop to compute the result. The output appears immediately below the form. Adjust the inputs and recalculate as many times as you need.
Read the result and use it as needed. If the number looks off, re-check your inputs and run it again — the math is deterministic, so the same entries always return the same answer.
Worked example. Load a 1200x800 photo, drag the box to the subject, and download a 600x400 PNG with the rest removed.
Tips for accurate results.
Drag the selection on the preview to position it; type exact pixels when you need precision.
The download is always a PNG so transparent edges stay clean.
Crop before you compress — a smaller canvas compresses to a smaller file.
When to use Crop Image. Trimming a screenshot to just the part that matters. Cutting a profile photo out of a larger picture. Removing empty margins from a scanned page or diagram.
When you actually reach for this
- You want to cut away edges and keep only a region (a face, a product, a section).
- A upload box wants a specific aspect ratio and the extra background is unwanted.
Where this tool stops being accurate
- Crop removes the outside pixels; it cannot bring back what you cut away, so crop a little loose if unsure.
- Crop is not resize: it changes the framed region, not the scale. Use resize afterward if you also need a target size.
Frequently asked questions
Where does my image go when I crop it?
Nowhere but your browser. The image is read locally, the crop rectangle is applied on a canvas, and the result is built on your device — it is never uploaded, stored, or shared.
What format is the cropped file?
The cropped region is exported as a PNG, which keeps edges crisp and preserves transparency. If you need JPG or WebP afterward, run the cropped PNG through the Image to JPG or Image to WebP tool.
Can I crop to exact pixel dimensions?
Yes. Type the X, Y, Width and Height in pixels and the crop matches them exactly; the preview box updates so you can confirm the region before downloading.
Crop vs resize, which do I want?
Crop cuts out a rectangle; resize changes scale. Often you crop to the subject, then resize to the required dimensions.
